We develop a sovereign debt model with ocial and private creditors where the probability of default depends on both the level and the composition of liabilities. Higher exposure to ocial lenders improves incentives to repay but carries extra costs, due to overcharging or reduced ex-post exibility.

We develop a model in which special interest groups make political contributions in order to influence an incumbent government's choice of trade policy. In the political equilibrium, the interest groups bid for protection, and each group's offer is optimal given the offers of the others.

This paper presents one of the first marketing applications of molecular genetics. We report evidence that salespeople’s genetic variants linked to educational attainment predict sales performance. Both genetics and selling effort contribute to sales performance, whereas genetics contribute more than personality traits.
