Response of Eggplant to Integrated Approaches for Sustainable Reclamation and Improvement of a Cheringa Hot Spot of Acid Sulfate Soil [PDF]
The application of basic slag (BS20 and BS30: basic slag 20 and 30 t ha-1) and aggregate size (A20 and A30: aggregate sizes of soil less than 20 and 20-30 mm) and different techniques (Tech 1: pyrite at top, jarosite at middle, and top soil at the bottom

ABSTRACT Urban coastal lagoons are highly vulnerable ecosystems increasingly affected by metal contamination, as well as multiple anthropogenic stressors. This study evaluated ecotoxicological and human health risks associated with chronic metal exposure in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from an anthropogenically impacted lagoon in southeastern ...

A pH-based pedotransfer function for scaling saturated hydraulic conductivity reduction: improved estimation of hydraulic dynamics in HYDRUS [PDF]
Hydraulic conductivity is a key soil property governing agricultural production and is thus an important parameter in hydrologic modeling. The pH scaling factor for saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) reduction in the HYDRUS model was reviewed and ...

This review examines salt glands in exo‐recretohalophytes, in which epidermal stem cells differentiate into unicellular, bicellular, or multicellular salt glands. Salt ions are transported to the leaves via the transpiration stream and enter salt glands through symplastic and apoplastic pathways. Finally, salt glands actively secrete salt ions from the

Akaline, saline and mixed saline-alkaline stresses induce physiological and morpho-anatomical changes in Lotus tenuis shoots [PDF]
Saline, alkaline and mixed saline–alkaline conditions frequently co-occur in soil. In this work, we compared these plant stress sources on the legume Lotus tenuis, regarding their effects on shoot growth and leaf and stem anatomy.

The HaMYB22–HaGST3.2 module mediates salt stress response in sunflower
The transcription factors HaMYB22, HaMYB120, and HaMYB121 cooperatively activate the transcription of the glutathione S‐transferase gene HaGST3.2, thereby facilitating the removal of reactive oxygen species induced by salt stress in sunflowers and improving their salt tolerance.
