Abstract The Aliança Formation (Jatobá Basin) represents lacustrine deposits formed in oxygenated waters that hosted a diverse fauna, including Hybodontiform sharks. Within this group, the Family Lonchidiidae comprises 11 valid genera, with Parvodus previously reported in Brazilian deposits from the Brejo Santo Formation (Araripe Basin, Late Jurassic ...

Isotopic Study on Saline Lakes in Antarctica
In order to understand the origin of saline lakes in the southern Victoria Land, Soya Coast, and Vestfold Hills, the hydrogen and oxygen isotopic ratios of lake waters were measured. The relationship between the two isotopic ratios in these lakes shifted

Distribution of aquatic mosses in the Soya Coast region, East Antarctica [PDF]
The distribution of aquatic mosses among 73 lakes in the Soya Coast region, East Antarctica, was surveyed. Two species of mosses, Bryum pseudotriquetrum and Leptobryum sp. were found at the bottom of lakes. B. pseudotriquetrum was found in 38 lakes (52.1%

Patterns in fish assemblages in the Loire floodplain: the role of hydrological connectivity and implications for conservation [PDF]
Hydrological connectivity is known to determine biodiversity patterns across large river floodplains, but it is often greatly altered by human activities.

The effects of restricted nursing (RN) and the administration of a bovine appeasing substance (BAS) on days −8 and 0 in relation to weaning were evaluated. Both strategies were effective in improving the growth performance of beef calves. Regarding welfare, BAS ‐especially on day 0‐ was more effective than RN.

Hydrogel Embedding of Mesenchymal Stem Cells Supports Extracellular Vesicle Production
This study investigates the effects of 3D culture conditions on extracellular vesicle (EV) production by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in a gelatin‐based hydrogel matrix (GelMA). The EVs from both conditions were found to have similar morphological, molecular, and functional properties, but 3D cultures produced more total EVs per volume.
