An Effector TaCRVP From Tuta Absoluta Oral Secretion Impairs H2O2‐Mediated Plant Defense by Targeting Tomato SlCAT2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Tuta absoluta salivary effector TaCRVP subverts tomato immunity by hijacking host catalase SlCAT2. Through a sophisticated dual mechanism, TaCRVP simultaneously promotes SlCAT2 tetramerization for activation and blocks its SlAdBiL‐mediated degradation for stabilization.

Raman Analysis of RNA Nucleotide Strands From SARS‐CoV‐2 Variants and Subvariants: A Step Forward in the Definition of “Raman Genome”

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Main Raman signals in RNA, related to helical backbone, ribofuranose ring, and nitrogenous bases, are affected by secondary structures that cause hyperchromic effects and significantly alter the Raman intensity. ABSTRACT Raman spectra of RNA nucleotide strands extracted from 20 SARS‐CoV‐2 strains, including the original Japanese isolate, Alpha, Beta ...

Effects of Different Tastants on Parotid Saliva Flow and Composition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Saliva from parotid glands plays a role in taste perception. Parotid saliva is also stimulated by tastants. The aim of this work is to investigate the effects of different tastants on the parotid salivary response in six subjects.

Dual‐Targeted Biomimetic MoSe2 Nanozymes for Enhancing Peri‐Implant Soft Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme, MoSe2@SPMM, selectively targets Staphylococcus aureus and oxidatively stressed macrophages. Near‐infrared activation couples contact‐enhanced photothermal bacterial eradication with reactive oxygen species scavenging to disrupt the pathogenic–immunological amplification loop.

Comparative study on the corrosion of alloys in artificial saliva

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Stomatology, 2018
Four types of dental alloys used in metal-ceramic technology, two NiCr-based and two CoCr-based, were studied for corrosion resistance. Of the 4 types of alloys, circular samples of 14 mm in diameter and 4 mm thickness were poured into the dental laboratory which were subsequently processed and subjected to corrosion in artificial saliva at the ...
