Machine Learning to Predict Extranodal Extension in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Machine learning algorithms (MLAs) demonstrated significantly higher diagnostic performance than radiologists in detecting extranodal extension (ENE) in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma using CT scans. This meta‐analysis of six studies found that MLAs had a pooled AUC of 0.91, whereas radiologists achieved only 0.65.

Feasibility Study of a Novel Stent‐Based Low‐Level Laser Therapy Device for Reducing Severe Radiation‐Induced Oral Mucositis

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Radiation‐induced oral mucositis (RIOM) is a severe complication of radiotherapy (RT) for head and neck cancers, impairing quality of life and treatment adherence. Low‐level laser therapy (LLLT) shows promise for reducing RIOM severity, but operator‐dependent devices limit practicality. This feasibility study assessed the safety and

Intratumoral Nerve Phased Development: A Promising Therapeutic Target

open access: yesMedicine Bulletin, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The nervous system has emerged as a critical regulator of tumor biology, engaging in dynamic crosstalk with cancer cells. Although the protumorigenic role of innervation is well established, increasing attention is now directed toward reciprocal influences—how tumors actively shape and remodel local nerve networks within the tumor ...

Toward Omni Healthcare: Wearable Technologies for Noncommunicable Disease Dynamic Monitoring

open access: yesMedicine Bulletin, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs)—including cardiovascular disorders, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes—account for over 41 million annual deaths globally. Emerging wearable biosensor platforms, leveraging synergistic breakthroughs in nanostructured conductive polymers and laser‐scribed graphene architectures, enable continuous
