Keratocystoma of palatal minor salivary glands: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery
Keratocystoma is a rare benign tumor of the salivary glands. Initially described as a choristoma by Seifert et al. in 1999, the term “keratocystoma” was later proposed by Nagao et al. in 2001. The parotid gland is the most common site of occurrence. Only

Innervation of the tubarial glands: A hypothesis‐driven anatomical review

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The tubarial glands have been described as a macroscopic bilateral glandular complex in the posterolateral nasopharynx near the torus tubarius and the pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube. Since their recognition on prostate‐specific membrane antigen‐based imaging, their anatomical classification has remained debated, with converging ...

Pleomorphic adenoma of buccal minor salivary gland: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Craniomaxillofacial Research, 2023
Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor that is frequently seen in the parotid gland. It is very rare in minor salivary glands. The case we present is a case of pleomorphic adenoma originating from the buccal minor salivary gland, which ...

Pleomorphic adenoma of cheek: A rare case report and review of literature

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research, 2014
Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common tumor of the salivary glands. About 90% of these tumors occur in the parotid gland and 10% in the minor salivary glands. The most common sites of PA of the minor salivary glands are the palate, followed by lips

Pleomorphic Adenoma of Cheek Masquerading as Fibrolipoma – Case Report with Review [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2015
Salivary gland tumours are rare, comprising 3% of head and neck tumours, of which Pleomorphic Adenoma (PA) constitutes 70-80%. It accounts for 53-74% of parotid tumours, 44-68% submandibular gland tumours and 38-43% of minor salivary gland tumours.

Duck Orbivirus and Egg Production: A Newly Identified Duck Orbivirus Is the Etiological Agent of Egg Production Decline in Chinese Breeder Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Field samples from breeder duck farms with egg‐production decline were subjected to viral detection, genome sequencing, and virus isolation. Experimental infection demonstrated that duck orbivirus (DORV) causes a significant and persistent reduction in egg production in breeder ducks.

Clock Genes Regulate Ca2+ Signaling and Mitochondrial Bioenergetics to Inhibit Sjögren Disease

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Although Ca2+ signaling and metabolism have been identified as key determinants for the development of Sjögren disease (SjD), the intricate connection between them and salivary gland physiology remains poorly understood. Methods Fluorescence‐based Ca2+ imaging, RNA sequencing, and mitochondrial activity were used to investigate the effects of
