Meta‐Analysis: Chronic Gastrointestinal Symptoms and Comorbidities in Hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders

This meta‐analysis reveals that a significant proportion of patients with hEDS/HSD experience gastrointestinal symptoms. The most prevalent symptoms include heartburn, abdominal pain, constipation, and nausea. There is a notable overlap of hEDS/HSD with chronic fatigue, DGBI, GERD, migraine, and orthostatic intolerance.

Effect of Age and Age‐Defined Menopausal Status on Linaclotide Efficacy and Safety in Adults With Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Constipation or Chronic Idiopathic Constipation: Post Hoc Analyses of Phase 2b/3 Studies

A post hoc pooled analysis of eight phase 2b/3 trials showed that linaclotide improved bowel and abdominal symptoms and was associated with a shorter time to response than placebo in adults with IBS‐C or CIC, irrespective of age or age‐defined menopausal status.
