Anti‐KIT Barzolvolimab for Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
We compared the efficacy and safety of four doses of barzolvolimab compared to placebo in reducing symptoms of chronic spontaneous urticaria in a randomized, controlled trial. Across barzolvolimab doses, rapid symptom reduction within 1 week was observed and sustained during 12 weeks.

Periparturient mortality in merino ewes in Australia: Incidence, impact and the path to mitigation strategies

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 103, Issue 5, Page 287-297, May 2025.
Managing breeding ewe mortality is a priority for the Australian sheep industry. The periparturient period carries the highest risk of mortality, but the incidence and causes in Merino ewes are not well characterised. Here, we outline the reported incidence of annual and periparturient mortality for Australian Merino ewes, causes and risk factors for ...

Advances in the Study of Pluripotent Stem Cells in Livestock

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Livestock pluripotent stem cells include embryonic stem cells (ESCs) isolated from the inner cell mass of blastocysts and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) derived from somatic cell reprogramming. They hold significant potential for applications in livestock breed improvement, rapid propagation, human disease modelling and human organ ...

Dual Role of Natural Killer Cells in Early Pregnancy: Immunopathological Implications and Therapeutic Potential in Recurrent Spontaneous Abortion and Recurrent Implantation Failure

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
This article elaborates on the role of NK cells in early pregnancy from multiple perspectives, including molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions. It also discusses how NK cell dysfunction contributes to RSA and RIF, aiming to provide insights for future research on NK cell mechanisms and clinical treatment of RSA and RIF.
