The SseC translocon component in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium is chaperoned by SscA [PDF]
Background: Salmonella enterica is a causative agent of foodborne gastroenteritis and the systemic disease known as typhoid fever. This bacterium uses two type three secretion systems (T3SSs) to translocate protein effectors into host cells to manipulate

IlvHI locus of Salmonella typhimurium [PDF]
In Escherichia coli K-12, the ilvHI locus codes for one of two acetohydroxy acid synthase isoenzymes. A region of the Salmonella typhimurium genome adjacent to the leucine operon was cloned on plasmid pBR322, yielding plasmids pCV47 and pCV49 (a shortened version of pCV47). This region contains DNA homologous to the E.

Heat stress disrupts gut microbial balance in poultry, impairing nutrient absorption and immunity. This review outlines the interplay between thermal stress and microbiome dynamics and discusses integrative mitigation strategies, probiotics, phytogenics, cooling systems, and genetic adaptation to enhance poultry resilience.

Antigenic Variation in Salmonella typhimurium
SummaryStrains of S. typhimurium possessing three different phases have been isolated from human cases. The flagellar antigen of one of these isolated phases cross-reacts with S. paratyphi A flagellar antigen.

Oxygen regulation in Salmonella typhimurium [PDF]
Regulation by oxygen of the peptidase T (pepT) locus of Salmonella typhimurium was studied by measuring beta-galactosidase levels in strains containing a pepT::Mu d1(Apr lac) operon fusion. beta-Galactosidase was induced in anaerobic cultures and late-exponential and stationary-phase aerated cultures.
