Salpingostomy for hydrosalpinx was carried out using a microsurgical technique. The postoperative patency rate was over 90%. Among the 41 patients followed for more than 1 year, 29% have had one or more intrauterine pregnancies and 27% have had live births. The ectopic gestation rate was 12%.

Linear Salpingostomy for Ectopic Pregnancy
Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinics of North America, 1991Linear salpingostomy is the procedure of choice for management of uncomplicated ectopic gestations if certain constraints are met. The procedure is straightforward and may be performed by laparotomy. However, laparoscopic salpingostomy is becoming the preferred approach.

Ciliogenesis following salpingostomy of rabbit hydrosalpinges
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, 1984Twenty-five artificially induced hydrosalpinges were studied in New Zealand white rabbits. Hydrosalpinges had been created after 2-16 wk occlusion of both the fimbrial end and the ampullary isthmic junction (A.I.J.), using either Ethilon 8/0 or tantalum clips. Their diameters ranged from 4 to 12 mm, being larger in the clipped oviducts.

Robotic-assisted Salpingostomy for Ectopic Pregnancy
Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada, 2010A27-year-old woman was referred for surgical treatment of left ectopic pregnancy. At laparoscopy, we found an ectopic pregnancy 3 to 4 cm in diameter in the isthmus of the left fallopian tube. A robotically assisted salpingostomy was then performed by incising the ante-mesosalpingeal wall of the tube with monopolar curved scissors, and removing the ...

Pregnancy rates and time intervals to achieve pregnancy were determined in 144 patients treated for infertility by lysis of bilateral tubal or peritubal adhesions. The pregnancy rate after bilateral salpingostomy for hydrosalpinges was low (18.7%; n = 91).

Experimental hydrosalpinx and salpingostomy in rabbits
European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, 1984In 137 oviducts of New Zealand white rabbits different kinds of occlusion techniques were tested to induce hydrosalpinges. In 99 oviducts ligatured or clipped both at the fimbrial end and at the ampullary-isthmic junction 67 hydrosalpinges were achieved, whilst in 34 oviducts ligatured or clipped only at the fimbrial end one hydrosalpinx occurred. Most

Electromicrosurgery and salpingostomy: Long-term results
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1975It seems that a technique which is as atraumatic and as bloodless as possible gives good results. This "atraumatic and bloodless" surgery is possible by means of electrosurgery, refined to a form of microsurgery. The author presents his long-term results (observations over 8 years). Pregnancies: 63 per cent; resulting in 24 per cent ectopic pregnancies
