The Chemistry of Tetrazolium Salts

2002
Tetrazolium salts are an important class of leuco dyes that have found a wide range of applications. They are unique among the synthetic leuco dyes in that the colored form of the dye is the reduced form rather than the oxidized form. There are at least three extensive reviews on tetrazolium salts and the corresponding formazan dyes and one textbook ...

Radiation-Driven Chemistry in Molten Salts

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2020
A variety of molten salts are proposed as liquid fuels or coolants in a new fleet of molten salt nuclear reactors that would have operational and safety advantages over present reactor systems. The molten salt will be exposed to high radiation levels under these conditions, therefore understanding the chemical effects of radiolysis on the molten ...

Chemistry of 1,2,3-Triazolium Salts

2014
1,2,3-Triazolium salts have been known for a long time. However, their potential as ionic liquids and catalysts was recognized only quite recently. 1,2,3-Triazolium ionic liquids can serve as solvent, as catalyst, as hosts in anion recognition and as components of molecular machines.

The solid state chemistry of acridizinium salts

Tetrahedron, 1987
Abstract the crystal chemistry of various acridizinium salts (with Br , Cl , I- , ClO-4 , BF4 , picrate and oxalate as the counter anions) have been prepared and the X-ray structures have been determined. Despite the large movement of the acridizinium ions in the [4+4] photodimerization, the majority of these salts are able to undergo single crystal →

Chemistry and conductivity of some salts of polypyrrole

Synthetic Metals, 1987
Abstract The structure of the conducting salts of polypyrrole (PP) can be modified by a) introducing substituents to the pyrrole ring, b) changing the salt structure by base/acid treatment and c) changing the counterion distribution via control of the size and conformation of polymeric counterions.

Molten Salt Chemistry of the Haloaluminates

1971
This review covers the molten salt chemistry of the aluminum halides and their mixtures with other metal halides. These materials have extremely interesting properties from the molten salt point of view. They are almost unique in their wide range of acid-base properties. In addition, they form low melting liquids with good thermal stabilities.

Electron beam chemistry of polyvinylpyridinium salts

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1994
AbstractVarious polyvinylpyridinium salts have been studied under electron beam. The relationship between electron beam sensitivities and chemical structural variables of polyvinylpyridinium salts has been studied by conventional scanning electron microscopy.

Physical Chemistry and Evolution of Salt Tolerance in Halobacteria

Origins of Life, 1980
The cellular constituents of extremely halophilic bacteria not only tolerate high salt concentration, but in many cases require it for optical functioning. The characteristics affected by salt include enzyme activity, stability, allosteric regulation, conformation and subunit association. The salt effects are of two major kinds: electrostatic shielding
