Opportunities for targeted, small‐scale law reform in marine and coastal restoration
Across the globe, law reform is being considered as a mechanism to support, guide, and encourage the upscaling of ecological restoration. While high‐profile examples like the European Nature Restoration Law show the value of large‐scale law reform, this scale of law reform will not be feasible or politically tractable everywhere.

Tidal reinstatement of coastal wetlands: a global review
Abstract Introduction Coastal wetland restoration is a global priority due to its critical role in enhancing climate resilience and biodiversity. Tidal reinstatement, through the removal or modification of tidal barriers, is a promising method to restore these ecosystems.

Sub-habitat classification of temperate salt marshes in Japan based on aquatic fauna
Salt marshes are being lost worldwide even though they provide essential ecosystem services. Habitat classification of salt marshes based on fauna, which is an effective indicator of their ecosystems, is expected to be useful to effectively assess the ...

Abstract Introduction Temporary ponds in the Mediterranean climate have a high conservation value, but many have been severely destroyed or degraded. Pond restoration and new pond creation have been engaged widely. Evaluations of the success of such operations are generally carried out over 10–15 years and show divergent results over this timeframe. In

Differential introgression and the maintenance of species boundaries in an advanced generation avian hybrid zone [PDF]

ABSTRACT This research examines the spatial and geochemical interactions between mat‐forming microorganisms and thalassinid shrimp in an intertidal flat situated on the shores of Willapa Bay, Washington, USA. The study serves as a contemporary analog for the relationships between mats and burrowing organisms in deep time.
