Dual Action of Dipyridamole in Experimental Rheumatoid Arthritis: Suppression of Joint Inflammation and Upregulation of Muscle Anabolism via Adenosine and AMPK Pathways
Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.Objective
Rheumatoid sarcopenia, characterized by the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, is a frequent comorbidity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), linked to prolonged, severe systemic inflammation. Purinergic signaling (adenosine, AMP, and ATP) plays a crucial role in inflammation, myogenesis, and muscle hypertrophy.Miguel Marco‐Bonilla, Maria Fresnadillo, Irene Sanchez‐Platero, Macarena de la Riva‐Bueno, Fernando Huete‐Toral, Gonzalo Carracedo, Carmen Conde, Yolanda Benitez, Pablo Minguez, Sandra Carolina Cifuentes, Joaquin Rams, Gabriel Herrero‐Beaumont, Raquel Largo, Aránzazu Mediero +13 morewiley +1 more sourceVolumetric Analysis of Navigation-Guided Orbital Decompression in Graves' Orbitopathy: A Case Report. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
To evaluate the timeline for resolution of sacroiliac joint (SIJ) inflammation, changes in structural lesions, and their correlation with patient‐reported outcomes (PROs) in youth with axial juvenile spondyloarthritis (axJSpA) initiating tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi).Timothy G. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
To evaluate the effects of ambient air pollution on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) incidence in a racially and ethnically diverse population. Methods
This analysis included 42,152 California Multiethnic Cohort participants, aged ≥65 years (>70% African American and Latino adults) who were enrolled in the Fee For Service component of Medicare (2001–Anna H. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) shows clinical and molecular heterogeneity, and cardiovascular (CV) complications and lupus nephritis (LN) remain leading causes of morbidity and mortality. This study investigated whether omic profiling can reveal molecular endotypes linked to these outcomes.Tomás Cerdó, Laurel Woodridge, Sagrario Corrales, Juan Rafael Muñoz‐Castañeda, Ana Isabel Torralbo, Anisur Rahman, Filipa Farinha, Rafaela Ortega Castro, Pedro Segui, Ismael Sanchez‐Pareja, Laura Muñoz‐Barrera, Christian Merlo, Desiree Ruiz‐Vilchez, M. Arthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView. Objective
Carbamylation, a nonenzymatic post‐translational modification, contributes to rheumatoid arthritis (RA) pathogenesis. Anti‐carbamylated protein antibodies (anti‐CarP) occur in around 50% of patients with RA and associate with greater joint damage. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) are a major source of carbamylated autoantigens.
