Metabolic Consequences of Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may have metabolic disruption, which can contribute to adverse long‐term outcomes, for multiple reasons. Sexual replication in the quasispecies model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
This paper develops a simplified model for sexual replication within the quasispecies formalism. We also assume that there is a cost to sexual replication,

NF2 is Essential for Human Endoderm Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that NF2, moesin‐ezrin‐radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor (NF2) is essential for human endoderm formation. NF2 knockout human induced pluripotent stem cells fail to form endoderm both in vitro and in vivo due to yes‐associated protein 1 (YAP1) nuclear translocation, redirecting differentiation toward myofibroblast‐like cells.
