[Retracted] Leaf Rolling and Stem Fasciation in Grass Pea (Lathyrus sativus L.) Mutant Are Mediated through Glutathione‐Dependent Cellular and Metabolic Changes and Associated with a Metabolic Diversion through Cysteine during Phenotypic Reversal

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
A Lathyrus sativus L. mutant isolated in ethylmethane sulfonate‐treated M2 progeny of mother variety BioL‐212 and designated as rlfL-1 was characterized by inwardly rolled‐leaf and stem and bud fasciations. The mutant exhibited karyomorphological peculiarities in both mitosis and meiosis with origin of aneuploidy.

Effect of the pH on the Formation of Gold Nanoparticles Enabled by Plasma‐Driven Solution Electrochemistry

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 22, Issue 1, January 2025.
The effect of pH on the gold nanoparticle formation is investigated. Total gold ion conversion and the particle size distribution are discussed. ABSTRACT Plasma‐driven solution electrochemistry offers alternatives to wet‐chemical methods for synthesizing nanomaterials.

Thermal noise and the incessant vibration of the outer hair cells in the cochlea

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, Volume 2, Issue 3, Page 161-165, 1998., 1998
The continual exposure of outer hair cells (OHCs) to thermal noise causes vibrations in resonant frequency. As these vibrations are backprojected, they should be recordable as audiofrequencies in the outer ear canal. But even though they are likely to be amplified in some areas by clustering in terms of the chaos theory, they cannot be picked up in the

Short Review on Plasma–Aerosol Interactions

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, Volume 22, Issue 1, January 2025.
Schematic representation of plasma–aerosol interactions, including the chemistry and transport of the key reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. Plasma‐activated aerosols show high chemical reactivity within small liquid microdroplet volumes, making them suitable for various applications, for example, industrial processes, nitrogen fixation and ...

Continuous production and recirculation of plasma‐activated water bubbles under different flow regimes for mixed‐species bacterial biofilm inactivation inside pipelines

open access: yesJournal of Food Safety, Volume 44, Issue 3, June 2024.
The study compared the effects of the flow regimes (laminar, transitional, and turbulent), treatment time, and the volume of water and plasma‐activated water bubbles circulation on the inactivation of the mixed‐species biofilms of Salmonella Typhimurium and Aeromonas australiensis grown on the inner surfaces of the polyvinyl chloride pipes.

Hydrogels for Gasotransmitter Delivery: Nitric Oxide, Carbon Monoxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide

open access: yesMacromolecular Bioscience, Volume 24, Issue 1, January 2024.
Nitric oxide (NO), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) are three gasotransmitters that play myriad roles in both healthy physiology and pathophysiology of numerous disorders. In this review, the biological significance of gasotransmitters is emphasized and their therapeutic applications when they are incorporated (chemically or physically)

Comprehensive Insight and Advancements in Material Design for Electrocatalytic Ammonia Production Technologies: An Alternative Clean Energy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
Ammonia (NH3) stands out as a promising green energy carrier in the context of the world’s future energy demands. The current ammonia production heavily relies on the energy‐intensive Haber–Bosch (H–B) process, contributing significantly to worldwide energy consumption (1–2%) and escalating carbon dioxide emissions by 1.5%.
