Assessment of Driver Stress using Multimodal wereable Signals and Self-Attention Networks

open access: yesCurrent Directions in Biomedical Engineering
Assessment of driver stress, crucial for road safety, can greatly benefit from the analysis of multimodal physiological signals. However, fusing such heterogeneous data poses significant challenges, particularly in intermediate fusion where noise can ...

Product data set generation network based on SAM and pix2pix

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong
Aiming at the cumbersome process of collection and labeling of commodity data set caused by rapid change of commodity packaging, this paper designs a commodity data set generation network based on Segment Anything Model (SAM) and Pixel to Pixel (pix2pix).

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Sam Van Aken: New Edens

open access: yes, 2011
Hybridized fruit trees, grafted orchids on shiny, reflective aluminum pedestals, fluorescent lights placed vertically on stands, and sheets of silver Mylar create a lush and somewhat disorienting space in contemporary artist Sam Van Aken’s most recent ...

Single Solid‐State Ion Channels as Potentiometric Nanosensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Single gold nanopores functionalized with mixed self‐assembled monolayers act as solid‐state ion channels for direct, selective potentiometric sensing of inorganic ions (Ag⁺). The design overcomes key miniaturization barriers of conventional ion‐selective electrodes by combining low resistivity with suppressed loss of active components, enabling robust

New Onset of Systolic Anterior Motion and Severe Mitral Regurgitation after Warm Ischemia in Donation after Circulatory Death Heart Transplantation

open access: yesAnnals of Cardiac Anaesthesia
Donation after circulatory death is helping to expand the donor pool for heart transplantation. Nevertheless, these hearts are more susceptible to myocardial edema and decision of accepting the organ can be a challenge for the heart transplant team ...

Dual‐Interface Engineering of the Source Electrode to Overcome the Intrinsic Injection‐Leakage Trade‐Off in Organic Schottky Barrier Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A charge injection layer is introduced via RIE to decouple the dual functions of the source electrode: lowering contact resistance through doping to enhance charge injection, while SAM modification on the top surface minimizes leakage current. This strategy enables OSBTs to achieve a high on/off ratio with improved stability and performance.

Viscoelasticity‐Induced Controllable Periodic Meso‐Textures of Liquid Crystal Polymers in Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Viscoelasticity‐driven instabilities are harnessed to create tunable, periodic textures in 3D‐printed liquid crystalline polymers. This study illustrates how processing parameters control these spontaneous meso‐scale patterns. These unique structural architectures unlock new possibilities for functional devices, ranging from photonic components to ...
