A new Neotropical temnocephalan species is described from Aegla jarai Bond-Buckup & Buckup, 1994 from Santa Catarina, Brazil and recorded on Samastacus spinifrons (Philippi, 1882) from five locations (Región de Biobío, Región de la Araucanía, and Región de Los Lagos) in Chile. Temnocephala catarinensis sp. nov.

A Case of Gynandromorphism in the Freshwater Crayfish Samastacus Spinifrons (Philippi, 1882) (Decapoda, Parastacidae)

A gynandromorph specimen of Samastacus spinifrons, captured in the river Hueyusca, southern Chile (41°07'S) is described. On the right side of the body of this specimen there was an ovotestis with gonoducts and gonopores of both sexes while on the left side an ovary with its respective oviduct and female gonopore was found.
