NEUTRON EMISSION MEASUREMENTS OF PWR SPENT FUEL SEGMENTS AND PRELIMINARY VALIDATION OF DEPLETION CALCULATIONS [PDF]
Assessing neutron emission of LWR spent fuel is necessary for the back-end of the fuel cycle, such as the dimensioning of transport and storage casks of spent fuel.

Resource Dimensioning Through Buffer Sampling [PDF]
Link dimensioning, i.e., selecting a (minimal) link capacity such that the users' performance requirements are met, is a crucial component of network design. It requires insight into the interrelationship among the traffic offered (in terms of the mean offered load M, but also its fluctuation around the mean, i.e., `burstiness'), the envisioned ...

Initial development and sample dimensioning of rubber tree clones
The current success of rubber cultivation is related to the use of clones adapted to different edaphoclimatic regions. Hence, it is important to evaluate variables that are correlated with yield.

On the Suboptimality of Thompson Sampling in High Dimensions
In this paper we consider Thompson Sampling (TS) for combinatorial semi-bandits. We demonstrate that, perhaps surprisingly, TS is sub-optimal for this problem in the sense that its regret scales exponentially in the ambient dimension, and its minimax regret scales almost linearly.
