Sampling the Whole Materials Space for Conventional Superconducting Materials
We perform a large scale study of conventional superconducting materials using a machine-learning accelerated high-throughput workflow. We start by creating a comprehensive dataset of around 7000 electron-phonon calculations performed with reasonable convergence parameters.

Optimisation of sample thickness for THz-TDS measurements [PDF]
How thick should the sample be for a transmission THz-TDS measurement? Should the sample be as thick as possible? The answer is `no'. Although more thickness allows T-rays to interact more with bulk material, SNR rolls off with thickness due to signal ...

The C 1s signal from ubiquitous carbon contamination on samples forming during air exposure, so called adventitious carbon (AdC) layers, is the most common binding energy (BE) reference in X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies. We demonstrate here, by

The study of the trait “plant height” in winter bread wheat in the south of the Rostov region
The problem of resistance to lodging during winter wheat cultivation is of great relevance in modern conditions. This trait largely correlates to plant height.

The unpredictably eruptive dynamics of spruce budworm populations in eastern Canada
We examine historical population data for spruce budworm from several locations through the period 1930–1997, and use density‐dependent recruitment curves to test whether the pattern of population growth over time is more consistent with Royama's (1984; Ecological Monographs 54:429–462) linear R(t) model of harmonic oscillation at Green River New ...

A small angle neutron scattering and Mössbauer spectrometry study of magnetic structures in nanocrystalline Ni3Fe [PDF]
Results are reported from small angle neutron scattering and Mössbauer spectrometry measurements on nanocrystalline Ni3Fe. The nanocrystalline materials were prepared by mechanical attrition and studied in the as-milled state, after annealing at 265 °C ...
