A novel sampling method for CCD signal processing

2010 3rd International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, 2010
In this paper, an efficient sampling method for CCD signal processing is proposed. A sampling clock is used, and its sampling clock is equal to the interval of the floating gate signal. Compared to the existing Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) method, this method saves a sampling clock and prevents the dislocation of the sampling clocks.

Signal sampling and processing in magnetic resonance applications [PDF]

open access: possible, 2019
In this thesis, signal sampling and processing techniques are developed for magnetic resonance applications, to improve the estimation of magnetic resonance parameters and to reduce experimental acquisition times. Two processing techniques are developed for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) relaxation and diffusion experiments.

On the Development of Analogue Sampled-Data Signal Processing

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 1997
This paper provides a historical perspective on the development of analogue sampled-data signal processing circuits and systems. The evolution, role and current trends in the development of analogue sampled-data signal processing systems is surveyed. Firstly, the evolution of integrated circuit based techniques, culminating in the ubiquitous switched ...

Processing schemes for sampled multi-dimensional signals

ICASSP '82. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
In addition to filtering also other operations like insertion of zeros etc. can be employed for the processing of multi-dimensional data arrays. A list of these operations and some examples will be presented. The mathematical description will be given by means of appropriate impulse fields and their Fourier transforms rather than by means of the z ...

The Evolution of Analogue Sampled-Data Signal Processing

1993
In this chapter the evolution of analogue sampled-data techniques has been reviewed. The switched-capacitor technique has been seen to dominate in general purpose applications, whilst CCDs are being used extensively in imaging arrays. The emergence of mixed-mode analogue and digital signal processing and the subsequent need to integrate analogue ...

Importance sampling in signal processing applications

2015
Importance sampling is a technique originating in Monte Carlo simulation whereby one samples from a different, weighted distribution, in order to reduce variance of the resulting estimator. More recently, variations of importance sampling have emerged as a means for reducing computational and sample complexity in different problems of modern signal ...

Sample-by-sample multi-transform processing of nonstationary speech signals

Conference Record of Thirty-Second Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers (Cat. No.98CH36284), 2002
We develop algorithms that use orthogonal transforms for sample-by-sample representation of speech signals. Two implementation structures are proposed, namely, the gradient and the Gauss-Seidel structures. The performance of these structures is found to be considerably superior to the performance of previously developed block-by-block implementation ...

The processing of hexagonally sampled two-dimensional signals

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1979
Two-dimensional signals are normally processed as rectangularly sampled arrays; i.e., they are periodically sampled in each of two orthogonal independent variables. Another form of periodic sampling, hexagonal sampling, offers substantial savings in machine storage and arithmetic computations for many signal processing operations.

Multiscale statistical signal processing: identification of a multiscale AR process from a sample of an ordinary signal

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 1993
The theory of stochastic processes on homogeneous trees aims at contributing to the theory of multiresolution stochastic modeling and associated techniques of multiscale statistical signal processing. The author solves the problem of identifying such a multiscale process indexed by the nodes of a tree from the observation of this process on one single ...

Exploiting Structure In Data: Sampling and Signal Processing on Graphs

2020
With the explosive growth of information and communication, data is being generated at an unprecedented rate from various sources, including multimedia, sensor networks, biological systems, social networks, and physical infrastructure. Research in graph signal processing aims to develop tools for processing such data by providing a framework for the ...
