Testing VIPV Curved Modules: Methods and Challenges

This work presents procedures and equipment for characterizing curved vehicle‐integrated photovoltaic (VIPV) modules through STC I–V curve and relative angular response (RAR) measurements. Outdoor measurements are compared with indoor measurements obtained using a collimated‐light solar simulator, showing excellent agreement for STC I–V curves.

Hechtia mixtecana sp. nov. (Hechtioideae; Bromeliaceae), from Oaxaca, Mexico

Botanical explorations carried out in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, led to the discovery of a new Bromeliaceae: Hechtia mixtecana,which is here described and illustrated. The new taxon is compared with the morphologically similar Hechtia fragilis, Hechtia lyman‐smithii, and Hechtia minuta.
