Analysis of cosmic ray variations observed by the CARPET in association with solar flares in 2011-2012 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The CARPET cosmic ray detector was installed on April 2006 at CASLEO (Complejo Astronmico El Leoncito) at the Argentinean Andes (31.8S, 69.3W, 2550 m, Rc=9.65 GV).

Costs and benefits of the cap reform [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
This working paper presents a cost-benefit analysis of the reform of the Common Aqricultural policy (CAP) considering both its effects on farmers in the European Community (EC) and on farmers in third countries.

Effective elastic thickness in the Central Andes. Correlation to orogenic deformation styles and lower crust high-gravity anomaly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Global studies have assessed the importance of elastic thickness (Te) on orogenic evolution, showing that the style and nature of upper crustal shortening are influenced by the inherited lithospheric strength. Thus, pioneer works have identified that the

Dynamic Coefficients of Finite Length Journal Bearing. Evaluation Using a Regular Perturbation Method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A set of simple expressions is deduced for static and dynamic parameters associated to hydrodynamic journal bearings (JB). The behavior of this system is governed by two dimensionless numbers, the aspect ratio, L/D, and the eccentricity ratio, η.

Connecting Link Between Leptogenesis and Oscillations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
It is shown how, in a class of models, the sign of the baryon number of the universe can be related to CP violation in neutrino oscillation experiments.Comment: 5 pages LaTeX. Talk at the Third Tropical Workshop on Particles and Cosmology.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Localization of semi-Heyting algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this note, we introduce the notion of ideal on semi-Heyting algebras which allows us to consider a topology on them. Besides, we define the concept of F−multiplier, where F is a topology on a semi-Heyting algebra L, which is used to construct the ...

Exciton‐Polaritons in Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks: A Platform for the Reversible Modulation of Strong Light‐Matter Coupling via the Chemical Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Strong exciton‐photon coupling is achieved by integrating porphyrin ligand‐based MOF nanoparticles in optical cavities, as evidenced by pronounced polariton branch anticrossing. The porous nature of the resonator enables precise, reversible tuning via vapor pressure, unlocking unprecedented chemical‐environment controlled dynamic polaritonic platforms ...

In Situ Amidation‐Derived Interfacial Modulation for Homogeneous Ultra‐High Nanoparticle Loading Toward Robust and Flexible Piezoelectric Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Synergistic interfacial strategy between inorganic ceramic fillers and polymer chains effectively inhibit particle aggregation and interfacial incompatibility. complex covalent and non‐covalent interfacial interactions promote superior uniformity, ultra‐high ceramic filler loading, and strong grain‐to‐grain connectivity, thereby enabling the ...

Sliding Mode Control for Trajectory Tracking of a Non-holonomic Mobile Robot using Adaptive Neural Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this work a sliding mode control method for a non-holonomic mobile robot using an adaptive neural network is proposed. Due to this property and restricted mobility, the trajectory tracking of this system has been one of the research topics for the ...
