Strengthening Treaty Understanding: The Role of Education in Building Durable Indigenous–State Agreements

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Education is a central mechanism for ensuring that Indigenous–State treaties are understood, supported and endure through political change. Public knowledge shapes the negotiation, acceptance, implementation and long‐term stability of agreements. In Australia, however, treaty knowledge remains fragmented.

Public Attitudes Toward Compassionate Release of Older People From Prison: Findings From a National Survey in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rapid increase in older people in prison populations worldwide is generating significant health, cost, and human rights pressures on custodial systems. Compassionate release for older, frail inmates is a potentially effective response, yet little is known about public support for this approach.

Discovery of a Reversible Sub‐Picomolar Thrombin Inhibitor Using DCC

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An ultrapotent yet fully reversible trivalent thrombin inhibitor discovered through screening a large dynamic combinatorial library (DCL) of 125 000 members of self‐assembled fragments. The innovative approach leverages size‐exclusion‐based affinity selection, coupled with MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry readout, enabling the full workflow to be completed ...

Quantifying the Sites of Government, Commercial, and Personal Systems‐Perpetrated Financial Abuse

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study explores the institutional systems through which post‐separation financial abuse is perpetrated. While existing measures seek to quantify the harms experienced by women post‐separation, this study draws on financial, welfare and legal service casefiles to identify where such harms occur. Drawing on 76 de‐identified Victorian service

Force‐Induced Control of Circularly Polarized Luminescence With Rotaxane Architecture

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Force‐induced reversible on/off switching of circularly polarized luminescence is achieved with a rotaxane‐based supramolecular mechanophore. The mechanophore, featuring a chiral helicene luminophore, is incorporated as a first network cross‐linker into a double‐network organogel.

Spatial Cell Death and Oxidative Stress Dynamics in Gas Plasma‐Treated Tumor Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the four experimental models to study tissue penetration and oxidation. Four tissue models were used. Human pancreatic cancer cells were grown on the chorioallantois membrane of chicken embryos and gas plasma‐treated in ovo, murine colorectal tumor tissue was gas plasma‐exposed ex vivo, murine squamous cell carcinoma cells ...

Design Guidelines for Anode Modifications to Eliminate Soft Short Circuits in Anode‐Free Na Batteries Under High Current Density With Large‐Capacity Plating, Demonstrated via Initiated Chemical Vapor Deposition (iCVD)

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work establishes a laterally homogeneous organic–inorganic hybrid interphase for soft‐short‐free anode‐free sodium metal batteries under extended cycling at high current density and high plating capacity. In contrast to conventional strategies that evolve into laterally heterogeneous interphases and induce localized Na filament growth, the pDFHA ...
