Uranium speciation and in situ leaching of a sandstone-type deposit from China

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2016
In this paper, uranium ore samples collected from different hole depth and different numbered hole. The effects of uranium speciation to in situ leaching of uranium were analyzed by sequential chemical extraction and sulfuric acid leaching tests. These results imply that the distribution characteristics of uranium speciation are significantly different

Paleochannel Sandstone-Type Uranium Deposits of Vitim Ore Region

2021
In this chapter present results obtained from last-years studies uranium ores from seven paleochannel-type deposits of Khiagda Ore Field at Vitim uranium ore region, Russia. All deposits belong to sandstone economic type, basal channel subtype; in Russian it commonly called as paleovalley, paleo-riverbed or paleo-streambed.

Concepts of genesis of sandstone-type uranium ore deposits

Economic Geology, 1963
Although the sources of uranium in sandstone-type ores are in most cases obscure, the formation of the ore deposits can be attributed on the basis of sulfur isotopic data to the precipitating action of hydrogen sulfide of bacteriological origin. In some areas deposition has been related heretofore to natural gas, but the isotopic evidence does not ...

Geochemical characteristics of the sandstone-type uranium deposits in Northern Sichuan Province

Chinese Journal of Geochemistry, 1995
Described in detail in this paper are the geochemical characteristics of the sandstone-type uranium deposits in northern Sichuan Province. Favorable and unfavorable conditions for the enrichment of uranium are explored on the basis of the elemental abundances and ratios of U, Th and K determined by gamma-ray spectroscopy.

Transportation and precipitation of uranium and vanadium at low temperatures, with special reference to sandstone-type uranium deposits

Economic Geology, 1962
U and V in sandstone-type deposits of the western United States apparently have been transported to their present environment from external sources by low-temperature aqueous solutions. In this paper an attempt is made to interpret the characteristics of aqueous solutions capable of transporting significant quantities of U and V through continental ...

The Karpinka Lake uranium prospect, Saskatchewan; a possible metamorphosed middle Precambrian sandstone-type uranium deposit

Economic Geology, 1985
The Karpinka Lake prospect is a strata-bound uranium deposit hosted by Aphebian meta-sediments located just to the south of the important unconformity-type deposits at Key Lake in northern Saskatchewan. The uranium occurs as disseminated uraninite and brannerite in sillimanite-bearing quartz-feldspar-biotite gneisses which, on the basis of major ...

Hyperspectral Data Analyzing for Characterizing Hydrocarbon Microseepage at Sandstone-type Uranium Deposits

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2006
Many uranium geological studies demonstrate the reduction environment induced by hydrocarbon microseepage is one of the key metallogenetic factors for the sandstone-type uranium mineralization, so utilizing hyperspectral and multispectral remote sensing technology to detect hydrocarbon- induced diagenetic alterations, such as clay mineral alteration ...
