Origin of gray-green sandstone in ore bed of sandstone type uranium deposit in north Ordos Basin
Science in China Series D: Earth Sciences, 2007Dongsheng sandstone-type uranium deposit is located in the northern part of Ordos Basin, occurring in the transitional zones between gray-green and gray sandstones of Jurassic Zhiluo Formation. Sandstones in oxidized zone of the ore bed look gray-green, being of unique signature and different from one of ordinary inter-layered oxidation zone of ...

ABSTRACT The Daying, Tarangaole and Nalinggou uranium deposits in the northern Ordos Basin form a world‐class uranium field, with complex uranium mineralisation processes. Key ore‐controlling factors of these deposits have contributed to the uranium enrichment in different ore‐bearing strata.

Comparative Experiments on Acid Leaching and Bioleaching to a Sandstone Type Uranium Ore
Advanced Materials Research, 2015512 uranium deposit, located in the northwest of China, is one of the largest in-situ leaching uranium mine in China. In the last 2 decades, The V cyclothem Deposit in 11 mining areas were successively mined by acid in-situ leaching. The uranium recovery rate in the roll body was very high, in contrast it was very low in wing body.

Effect of Different Surfactant on Leaching of Uranium in Sandstone Type Ores with Low Permeability
Advanced Materials Research, 2013This paper researched the effect of six surfactant including aodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)、cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB)、po1yoxyethylene octylphenol ether (OP-10)、Triton X-100(TX-100)、FSO and their mixture on surface tension of the leaching solution and on leaching rate of uranium in sandstone uranium ores.

Concepts of genesis of sandstone-type uranium ore deposits
Economic Geology, 1963Although the sources of uranium in sandstone-type ores are in most cases obscure, the formation of the ore deposits can be attributed on the basis of sulfur isotopic data to the precipitating action of hydrogen sulfide of bacteriological origin. In some areas deposition has been related heretofore to natural gas, but the isotopic evidence does not ...

Uraniferous Organic Matter in the Sandstone-Type Uranium Ore from Domiasiat, Meghalaya, India
Journal Geological Society of India, 1995Abstract Uranium in the sandstone-hosted uranium deposit at Domiasiat, Meghalaya is mainly associated with organic matter (OM), which is also enriched in several trace elements, viz. Zn, Pb, Ni, V, Co, Ba, Sn, Mo, Cr, Ag, P etc. This paper is an attempt to characterize and discuss the origin of the OM and the associated uranium.

Charged-particle track analysis in the assessment of sandstone-type uranium ore from Pakistan
Nuclear Tracks, 1980Abstract A combination of natural alpha-particle autoradiography using cellulose nitrate and uranium fission track registration in Lexan plastic has yielded imformation on the distribution of uranium in samples from the sandstone-type uranium-vanadium occurrences at Baghal Chur, Dera Ghazi Khan District, Pakistan.

Abstract The relative abundance of radiogenic lead varies depending on the mineralogical characteristics of the ore. In high uranium containing coaly matter, radiogenic lead is > 80% of the total, whereas in a composite ore, as much as 60% of the total is of the initial common lead.
