ZnO Nanowires for Ultraviolet Detection: Recent Developments, Challenges, and Future Outlook

This work provides a comprehensive review of Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanowires for high‐performance ultraviolet (UV) photodetection. By analyzing unique device physics and various detector architectures, it unveils strategies to overcome current performance limitations regarding speed and sensitivity.

Stretchable Energy Storage with Eutectic Gallium Indium Alloy

A highly stretchable liquid metal‐based electrode is developed via a one‐step process, retaining conductivity and capacitance after mechanical deformation up to 900% strain. The stretchable all‐solid‐state device provides a areal energy density of 43 µWh cm⁻2 after 150% strain.

Non-linear analysis of sandwich plates

The nonlinear static analysis of a sandwich plate using a quadratic isoparametric element having five degrees of freedom at each node is reported in this paper. The formulation includes the effects of large deformations and rotations besides stretching, bending and transverse shear.

Optimization for buckling of composite sandwich plates

Summary: Consider a composite sandwich plate with balanced or unbalanced anisotropic composite laminated faces and an ideally orthotropic core. A closed-form solution of the buckling load is derived for the composite sandwich plates consisting of cross-ply symmetric laminate faces with all edges simply supported.

Delamination of a high-temperature sandwich plate

This paper describes the development of a method for determining the fracture toughness of the core/faceplate bond in high-temperature sandwich plates. The tensile deformation behavior of a sandwich element was also determined. The results from the latter experiment were used in a beam on elastic foundation analysis of the fracture specimen.

Abstract The torsional rigidity of rectangular sandwich plates of constant thickness is calculated, with cross sections assumed free to warp. The faces are isotropic and of equal thickness while the core may be orthotropic, the axes of orthotropy coinciding with co-ordinate axes of the structure.
