Homogenization of sandwich structures
International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2004AbstractA homogenization method is proposed for sandwich structures consisting of two plates interlaced with beams and shells in a periodic, lattice structure. The proposed method is a quasi‐continuum approach where the constitutive response is obtained from the generalized forces of the interlacing elements.

A unique sandwich structure of CoMnP/Ni2P/NiFe is successfully achieved by introducing a Ni2P interlayer between CoMnP nanosheets and NiFe foam to achieve an excellent bifunctional electrocatalyst, yielding a low cell voltage of only 1.48 V at 10 mA cm−2

Integrally Woven Sandwich-Structures
1989New technical opportunities with regard to manufacturing and mechanical properties are opened up by the development of new integrally woven sandwich structures. In these fibre constructions, two fabric layers are separated by a woven-in system of z-directional fibres. After impregnation with a resin, the double-wall fabrics form the sandwich structure.

Mechanical responses of a composite sandwich structure with Nomex honeycomb core
Journal of reinforced plastics and composites, 2019Weights of honeycomb sandwich composite structures are strictly controlled in scenarios such as in contexts of aerospace engineering. However, such structures extensively studied in past investigations were partly or completely made of aluminum or other ...

Stability Analysis of Multilayer Sandwich Structures
AIAA Journal, 1973The finite element method is applied to the stability analysis of multilayer sandwich structures with n stiff layers and n-1 weak cores, in which each layer or core can assume different material properties, so that the concept of common shear angle is no longer applicable. A beam element, a rectangular plate element and a triangular element are used in
