A New Synthetic Analogue of Protectin DX With Enhanced Therapeutic Potential Against Metabolic‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 20, 31 October 2025.
The pro‐resolving lipid mediator PDX, and a novel synthetic analogue AN‐48, were orally administered (50 ng/g) daily to hamsters fed an obesity‐inducing diet. AN‐48 prevented hepatic triglyceride accretion and reduced the expression of fatty acid synthase (FASN), responsible for de novo lipogenesis.
