Twenty-Five Years of No-Touch Saphenous Vein Harvesting for Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: Structural Observations and Impact on Graft Performance [PDF]
The saphenous vein is the most common conduit used in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) yet its failure rate is higher compared to arterial grafts. An improvement in saphenous vein graft performance is therefore a major priority in CABG.

A novel technique of tunneled venous conduit retrieval for femoropopliteal artery bypass
We would like to report a novel technique in the use of endoscopically retrieved reverse saphenous vein for femoropopliteal bypass grafting. A common mishap encountered while tunneling reversed saphenous vein is avulsion of side branches.

Fatty acids composition of aorta and saphenous vein tissues in patients with coronary artery diseases [PDF]
Introduction: Considering importance of fatty acids in developing coronary artery disease (CAD) and lack of information about saphenous vein which is commonly used as coronary arterial bypass, in this study we investigated differences in fatty acids ...

Abstract This article describes an all‐arthroscopic knotless suture‐bridge technique for medial collateral ligament repair. Its key steps involve placing a medial row anchor and a lateral row anchor, connected via sutures passed through the torn ligament, thereby applying the suture‐bridge technique to achieve secure knotless fixation.

Single aorta-coronary artery vein grafts (bridge grafts) were constructed to two coronary branches with a side-to-side anastomosis in 250 patients. Most of these grafts were constructed between circumflex branches (96 grafts), circumflex and diagnol branches (47 grafts), and anterior descending and diagonol branches (79 grafts).

Percutaneous Saphenous Vein Arterialization
Purpose In patients with no-option critical limb-threatening ischemia, venous foot arterialization can be considered the last chance before major amputation. Up until now, a really significant limitation of endovascular arterialization compared with surgery was the possibility to obtain arterial flow into the ...

The Cutaneous Branch of the Obturator Nerve: Common Finding or a Rarity Worthy of Note
ABSTRACT According to textbook descriptions, branches of the femoral and obturator nerves provide the sensory innervation to the medial side of the thigh. However, as the exact prevalence of the obturator nerve's cutaneous branch is unknown, an anatomic study was conducted to reveal its role in providing cutaneous innervation to the medial thigh ...

The suture button technique can cause damage to the saphenous vein and nerve. We examined the location and course of the great saphenous vein using magnetic resonance imaging and determined its position at 10, 20, 30, or 40 mm proximal to the tibial ...

Scientific analysis of Anchomanes difformis roots confirms significant nutraceutical potential, containing high levels of carbohydrates, proteins, and essential minerals. Phytochemical screening revealed antioxidants such as phenols and flavonoids, and although the extracts effectively lowered plasma glucose, safety testing showed dose‐dependent risks.
