A Comparative Analysis of Intratesticular Versus Intra‐Epididymal Injections of Clove Essential Oil on Male Dog Sterilization

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study evaluated clove essential oil as a non‐surgical sterilant in male dogs. Both intratesticular and intra‐epididymal injections significantly reduced sperm concentration, motility and viability, with histological and sonographic evidence of reproductive tissue damage.

COMPARATIVE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE VENOUS WALL OF THE EXTREMITIES OF HUMANS AND DOGS

open access: yesМедицина в Кузбассе
The study of the causes and mechanisms of development of varicose veins of the lower extremities does not lose its relevance. Most often, Wistar rats are used in experiments for morphological studies of the venous system of the lower extremities. However,

From the experience of more than 1000 glue ablation procedures for varicose veins: how to do it

open access: yesАмбулаторная хирургия
Cyanoacrylate adhesive closure (CAC) is currently one of the main non-thermal ablation modalities of incompetent saphenous veins. High efficacy and safety of the method is supported by international clinical practice guidelines as well as the real-world ...

Mitochondrial Respiratory Supercomplex Assembly Factor COX7RP Contributes to Lifespan Extension in Mice

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
Mitochondrial respiratory supercomplex assembly factor COX7RP improves metabolic homeostasis and contributes to lifespan extension in mice. The overexpression of COX7RP reduces white adipose tissue mass and downregulates senescence‐associated secreted phenotype‐related genes in the tissue, suggesting that COX7RP plays a role in preventing aging through

CO2 Reactivity but Not CO2‐Induced Orexin/c‐Fos Colocalization Differentially Predicts Alcohol‐Seeking Behaviour After Extinction and Retrieval‐Extinction in Rats

open access: yesAddiction Biology, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
CO2 reactivity differentially predicted alcohol‐seeking behaviour in alcohol dependent and non‐dependent male and female rats after extinction and retrieval‐extinction. However, there were no relationships between orexin/c‐Fos colocalization and CO2 reactivity or return of alcohol‐seeking behaviour.

Anatomical variation of anterior accessory great saphenous vein: a case report

open access: yesRwanda Medical Journal
An anterior accessory great saphenous vein (AAGSV) is a major cause of varicose disease recurrence and shares the saphenofemoral junction in 10% of patients where it is a primary reflux pattern. Reflux in AAGSV presents the same symptoms and severity as
