A Visible Light‐Responsive Hydrogel to Study the Effect of Dynamic Tissue Stiffness on Cellular Mechanosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A visible light‐responsive polyacrylamide‐azobenzene hydrogel enables safe, reversible stiffness control for studying cell mechanobiology without harmful UV exposure. This approach reveals stem cells respond rapidly to mechanical changes, showing altered shape and protein distribution within one hour.

Urban Features Identification from Dual-Pol SAR Images with Filter Properties

open access: yesJournal of Landscape Ecology, 2020
There is no formal definition of feature identification but it depends on the application and context of the problem. This feature acts as primary elements for execution of several algorithms, hence feature identification is one of the significant steps ...

Tailoring the Microstructure of B‐Cation Octahedra in Halide Double Perovskites for Efficient Selective CO2‐to‐CO Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The thermodynamic obstacle of CO2‐to‐CO conversion over metal halide perovskite photocatalysts is addressed by modulating the local electronic structure. A 13‐fold improvement in selective CO2 photoreduction to CO is achieved, with ≈100% selectivity.

Modeling of SAR signatures of shallow water ocean topography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
A hydrodynamic/electromagnetic model was developed to explain and quantify the relationship between the SEASAT synthetic aperture radar (SAR) observed signatures and the bottom topography of the ocean in the English Channel region of the North Sea.

Comparing the binding interactions in the receptor binding domains of SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
COVID-19, since emerged in Wuhan, China, has been a major concern due to its high infection rate, leaving more than one million infected people around the world. Huge number of studies tried to reveal the structure of the SARS-CoV-2 compared to the SARS-CoV-1, in order to suppress this high infection rate.

Performance Analysis of Automotive SAR With Radar Based Motion Estimation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Automotive synthetic aperture radar (SAR) can achieve a significant angular resolution enhancement for detecting static objects, which is essential for automated driving. Obtaining high resolution SAR images requires precise ego vehicle velocity estimation.

SARS

open access: yes, 2016
Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is an acute respiratory tract infectious disease induced by SARS-CoV and mainly transmitted through the short-distance air droplets and close contact. Its main clinical characteristics is abrupt onset of the disease and the initial symptom is fever accompanied with systematic symptoms of headache, soreness and ...

Efficient Hole Injection From Indium Tin Oxide in Quantum‐Dot Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The realization of QLEDs‐based displays remains challenging due to the acidic surface from PEDOT:PSS. Here, an analysis is conducted by examining the degradation mechanism of PEDOT:PSS. By replacing PEDOT:PSS with 2BrCzPA, the formation of strong dipoles at the ITO/2BrCzPA SAM interfaces exhibits excellent hole injection abilities.

Development of a satellite SAR image spectra and altimeter wave height data assimilation system for ERS-1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The applicability of ERS-1 wind and wave data for wave models was studied using the WAM third generation wave model and SEASAT altimeter, scatterometer and SAR data. A series of global wave hindcasts is made for the surface stress and surface wind fields
