3D Imaging of Ground based SAR Data
IGARSS 2008 - 2008 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2008Ground-based SAR systems play a key role in active microwave remote sensing in many areas of environmental risk monitoring. Real time capability and flexibility make ground-based SAR suitable for monitoring in emergency cases, such as sudden landslide or volcanic activities. In this work we propose a 3D SAR imaging, for a ground-based stepped frequency

Autofocus for 3D imaging with multipass SAR
SPIE Proceedings, 2010The emergence of 3D imaging from multipass radar collections motivates the need for 3D autofocus. While several effective methods exist to coherently align radar pulses for 2D image formation from a single elevation pass, further methods are needed to appropriately align radar collection surfaces from pass to pass.

Computational SAR ADC for a 3D CMOS image sensor
10th IEEE International NEWCAS Conference, 2012The architecture and simulation of a Computational SAR ADC (C-SAR) dedicated to the processing of image descriptors for a 3D CMOS image sensor are reported here. The differential charge sharing architecture enables to A/D convert the convolution of multiple binary weighted pixels signals on multi-scale kernels.

The special nature of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images as opposed to optical images requires highly specialized processing. This paper is devoted to the task of 3D surface reconstruction from multiple radar images. We discuss SAR-specific modifications of well known algorithms (stereo, shape-from-shading), as well as new algorithms incorporating ...

Performance analysis of sparse 3D SAR imaging
SPIE Proceedings, 2011This paper addresses the question of scattering center detection and estimation performance in synthetic aperture radar. Specifically, we consider sparse 3D radar apertures, in which the radar collects both azimuth and elevation diverse data of a scene, but collects only a sparse subset of the traditional filled aperture.

Sector interpolation for 3D SAR imaging with baseline diversity data
2007 International Waveform Diversity and Design Conference, 2007SAR tomography is an emerging technique which can be used to derive full 3D SAR images of the observed areas. It is based on the Fourier elevation focusing of the signal acquired by means of baseline diversity. Unfortunately, the spatial baseline distribution is typically non-uniform, resulting in an unsatisfactory image quality.

2D and 3D convolutional and correlation SAR imaging
Algorithms for Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery XXVII, 2020Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images and volumes may be produced through multiple antenna or multiple pass scenarios. SAR imaging runs a gamut of techniques from convolution of the recieved data with the modeled SAR aperture impulse response to correlation of the spherical wave function with the recieved wave.

A novel 3D imaging method based on orthogonal-track SAR
2016 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2016A novel method of three-dimensional (3D) imaging based on orthogonal-track synthetic aperture radar (SAR), is proposed in this paper. In the scheme, the SAR sensor moves along two orthogonal tracks successively and two SAR images are obtained. Then we extract the spacial information from the two-dimensional (2D) SAR images to reconstruct the 3D ...

A Novel 3D Imaging Method of FMCW MIMO-SAR
2018 China International SAR Symposium (CISS), 2018Short range three-dimensional imaging radar has wide application prospects, but high resolution high resolution requires a large number of antenna elements in traditional planar array 3D imaging radars. In this paper, In this paper, the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) with ...
