Multitemporal SAR image compression
Proceedings 1998 International Conference on Image Processing. ICIP98 (Cat. No.98CB36269), 2002In this paper, we propose a new method for compressing with loss temporal series of SAR images. The algorithm requires a reference scene used as an input in the compression process. The compression is achieved through affine transformations, comparable to the ones used in fractal coding, but applied here in a non-convergent way.

3-D MIMO-SAR Imaging Using Multi-Chip Cascaded Millimeter-Wave Sensors
IEEE Global Conference on Signal and Information Processing, 2019Integration of multi-chip cascaded multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) millimeter-wave (mmWave) sensors with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging will enable cost-effective and scalable solutions for a variety of applications including security ...

Filtering of multichannel SAR images
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2001An explicit form of the linear multichannel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) intensity filter, which preserves radiometry while optimally reducing speckle is derived, together with a compact expression for the theoretical gain in equivalent numbers of looks (ENLs).

Image processing for multitemporal SAR images.
1998In 1996, the French research group ISIS* proposed a research initiative in the field of radar imaging. One purpose aims to study specificities of multitemporal SAR (synthetic Aperture Radar) images. This paper presents some results of research undertaken in the multitemporal workgroup.

Research on Bistatic SAR Imaging
2006 IEEE International Symposium on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2006For reasons of stealth and other operational advantages, more attention has recently been focused on bistatic SAR Bistatic SAR uses separated transmitter and receiver flying on different platforms, and has the ability of the exploitation of additional information contained in the bistatic reflectivity of targets.

Polarimetric discriminators for SAR images
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 1992A method is developed for optimizing the degree of polarization of a partially polarized wave reflected by a nonstationary scattering object. The method permits, for a scattered wave and a given target characterized by its Mueller matrix, analytic computation of the maximum and minimum values of the degree of polarization, and the corresponding ...

A Bayesian approach to SAR imaging
Digital Signal Processing, 2013We introduce a new approach using the Bayesian framework for the reconstruction of sparse Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images. The algorithm, named SLIM, can be thought of as a sparse signal recovery algorithm with excellent sidelobe suppression and high resolution properties.

Multiedge detection in SAR images
1997 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002Edge detection is a fundamental issue in image analysis. Due to the presence of speckle, which can be modelled as a strong multiplicative noise, edge detection in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images is very difficult and methods developed for optical images are inefficient.
