Precision tools and models to narrow in on the 750 GeV diphoton resonance [PDF]
The hints for a new resonance at 750 GeV from ATLAS and CMS have triggered a significant amount of attention. Since the simplest extensions of the standard model cannot accommodate the observation, many alternatives have been considered to explain the ...

ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
