Reduction of SO2 to Elemental Sulfur in Flue Gas Using Copper‐Alumina Catalysts

open access: yesJournal of Nanotechnology, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
This study aims to propose an advanced catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of SO2, as a sustainable process to mitigate the emission of this toxic gas, which is a significant environmental concern. The conversion of SO2 through catalytic reduction with CH4 to elemental sulfur was investigated using Al2O3‐Cu catalysts.

Simulation‐Based Multiobjective Optimization of Open‐Pit Mine Haulage System: A Modified‐NBI Method and Meta Modeling Approach

open access: yesComplexity, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
A large number of engineering problems involve several conflicting objectives, which today are often solved through expensive simulation calculations. Methods based on meta‐models are one of the approaches to solving this group of problems. In this paper, multiobjective optimization in the extraction system of a copper open‐pit mine complex is ...

Prediction of Blasting Fragmentation Based on GWO‐ELM

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
Aiming at the complex nonlinear relationship among factors affecting blasting fragmentation, the input weight and hidden layer threshold of ELM (extreme learning machine) were optimized by gray wolf optimizer (GWO) and the prediction model of GWO‐ELM blasting fragmentation was established. Taking No. 2 open‐pit coal mine of Dananhu as an example, seven

Indirect Determination Approach of Blast‐Induced Ground Vibration Based on a Hybrid SSA‐Optimized GP‐Based Technique

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
The accurate determination of blast‐induced ground vibration has an important significance in protecting human activities and the surrounding environment. For evaluating the peak particle velocity resulting from the quarry blast, a robust artificial intelligence system combined with the salp swarm algorithm (SSA) and Gaussian process (GP) was proposed,

Possible use of organic compounds on shelf life and quality properties of peeled pomegranate

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 636-647, January 2020., 2020
Application of Agar Gel and saffron extracts reduced weight loss of fresh‐cut pomegranate arils. Both saffron extracts suppressed fungi and bacteria development on processed pomegranate fruits, successfully, so they can be used as natural preservatives.
