Geofluids Assessment of the Ayub and Shafa Hot Springs in Kopet‐Dagh Zone (NE Iran): An Isotopic Geochemistry Approach

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Geothermal energy has a wide range of uses in our life. It is very important to characterize the temperature and the depth of geothermal reservoirs. The aim of this paper is the determination of type, origin source of water temperature, and depth of water circulation in the Ayub‐Peighambar and Shafa (AP and SH) hot springs, located in NE Iran, using ...

Fluid Evolution of the Magmatic Hydrothermal Porphyry Copper Deposit Based on Fluid Inclusion and Stable Isotope Studies at Darrehzar, Iran

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
The Darrehzar porphyry Cu‐Mo deposit is located in southwestern Iran (~70 km southwest of Kerman City). The porphyries occur as Tertiary quartz‐monzonite stocks and dikes, ranging in composition from microdiorite to diorite and granodiorite. Hydrothermal alteration and mineralization at Darrehzar are centered on the stock and were broadly synchronous ...

The Potent In Vitro Skin Permeation of Archaeosome Made from Lipids Extracted of Sulfolobus acidocaldarius

open access: yesArchaea, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Archaeosomes are a new generation of liposomes that exhibit higher stabilities under different conditions, such as high temperatures, alkaline or acidic pH, and presence of bile salts in comparison with liposomes, and can be used in biotechnology including drug, gene, and vaccine delivery.

Galvanic Interaction between Chalcopyrite and Pyrite with Low Alloy and High Carbon Chromium Steel Ball

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
This study was aimed to investigate the galvanic interaction between pyrite and chalcopyrite with two types of grinding media (low alloy and high carbon chromium steel ball) in grinding of a porphyry copper sulphide ore. Results indicated that injection of different gases into mill altered the oxidation‐reduction environment during grinding.
