سازند سرچشمه یکی از واحدهای سنگ چینه ای حوضهرسوبی کپه داغ است. این سازند در برشهای مختلف از شرق تا غرب حوضهرسوبی کپه داغ دارای ضخامتهای متفاوتی میباشد. به منظور تعیین محیط دیرینه و پالینوفاسیس این سازند و مقایسه آنها، سازند سرچشمه در دو برش روستای جورق و شیخ مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.
