Hepatic endometrial stromal sarcoma
Pathology - Research and Practice, 2018Endometrial stromal sarcomas are rare tumors that may recur or metastasize many years after their initial presentation. Though most recurrences are within the pelvis, distant metastases can occur, and are most common to the lungs. Metastases to the liver are extremely rare.

A novel MBTD1‐PHF1 gene fusion in endometrial stromal sarcoma: A case report and literature review
Genes, Chromosomes and Cancer, 2020The classification of endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) has been refined and aided by the discovery of various recurrent gene translocations. Low‐grade ESS (LG‐ESS) is most commonly characterized by JAZF1‐SUZ12 fusions followed by rearrangements ...

Endometrial stromal sarcoma of uterus
Best Practice & Research Clinical Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 2011Endometrial stromal sarcomas are the second most common uterine sarcomas. Currently, they are classified into low-grade endometrial stromal sarcomas and undifferentiated endometrial sarcoma. Low-grade endometrial stromal sarcomas are biologically low-grade uterine sarcomas, and typically composed of uniform cells intimately associated with prominent ...

Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma from Endometriosis
Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, 2010A 33-year-old patient came to our clinic in July 2008 because of abdominal pain and severe dysmenorrhea for 6 months. She had delivered 1 infant vaginally and 1 cesarean section. A diagnosis of bilateral endometriotic cysts had been made at ultrasonography 1 month before she came to our clinic. Aspiration of the cysts under ultrasound guidance had been

Transition From Low-grade Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma to High-grade Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma
International Journal of Gynecological Pathology, 2010We report on a case of a primary low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) that progressed to a secondary high-grade ESS. In the secondary tumor, the immunohistochemical profile and focal tumor cell proliferation pattern suggested that this tumor was not truly undifferentiated, but possessed features of endometrial stroma.

Endometrial stromal sarcoma of the retroperitoneum
Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2002Endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) is an uncommon neoplasm whose occurrence outside the uterus is extremely rare in the absence of metastasis or extension of a primary uterine neoplasm. When ESS occurs in such locations it is often associated with the uterine adnexa or serosal surface of various organs.
