Nephochaetopteryx Townsend, 1934 is a genus of flesh flies predominantly Neotropical in distribution, which comprises small species (4.0–7.3 mm) characterized mainly by vein R1 fully setulose dorsally and wing usually fumose between apical part of vein R2+3 and vein C.

The data are presented of faunistic investigation of Sarcophagidae in Georgia carried out in 1963???1965. In all 67 species of Sarcophagidae are registered which belong to 2 tribes, 6 subtribes, 19 genera and 21 subgenera. One of the species proved to be new for the USSR fauna and 26 ???for Georgia.

An extended redescription of the subtribe Craticulinina and genus Craticulina, a key to Palaearctic species. Two species ??? Abstract. Collections of Afrotropical Sarcophagidae were made at a single locality. Seventeen species in two genera were found: Heteronychia with two species, and Sarcophaga with fifteen species.
