Stages of Structural and Parametric Synthesis of Low Earth Orbit Communication Systems with Broadband Inter-Satellite Links

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Engineering Research
The paper discusses the scientific rationale for the structural and parametric synthesis of low Earth orbit communication systems (LEOCSs) with broadband inter-satellite links (ISLs) and on-board data routing, principles and stages underlying data ...

Energy‐Transfer‐Driven Programmable Luminescence in Bi3+‐Eu3+ Co‐Doped Na3Ca2TaO6 Phosphors Toward Multifunctional Optical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Energy transfer from broadband Bi3+ sensitizers to Eu3+ emitters enables composition‐, excitation‐, and temperature‐dependent luminescence in Na3Ca2TaO6. These controllable optical states support ratiometric thermometry and excitation‐selective, filter‐assisted information decoding in flexible phosphor–polydimethylsiloxane films, demonstrating how ...

Performance evaluation of compansion-based clipped OFDM systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking
The peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), commonly used to describe the amplitude variations of an OFDM (orthogonal frequency-division multiplex) signal, does not accurately reflect its impact on the system performance.

Confinement‐Induced Nonlocality and Optical Nonlinearity of Transdimensional Titanium Nitride Films in the Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Region

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) effect in metals emerges only in nanometer‐scale films with exceptional optical quality. Titanium nitride (TiN) films grown by molecular beam epitaxy retain high crystallinity down to 2 nm and exhibit dramatically enhanced nonlinear optical responses near the ENZ region.

Cascading Spin‐Orbitronic Terahertz Emission in Ferromagnet/Nonmagnet Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
While the initial generation mechanism of picosecond orbital currents remains elusive, we reveal a cascading spin–orbital transport mechanism that induces optically driven terahertz emission in ferromagnet/nonmagnet heterostructures. Using a ferromagnet with strong spin–orbit coupling, we identify a thickness‐driven transition from spin‐dominated to ...

Programmable Anisotropic Terahertz Permittivity via High‐Aspect‐Ratio 3D‐Printed Dielectric Mesh Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed Terahertz (THz) anisotropic dielectric with programmable permittivity by varying infill density and creating high‐aspect‐ratio channels is presented. The proposed design was evaluated both experimentally, through THz time‐domain spectroscopy, and theoretically, through FDTD simulations and Effective Medium Theory analysis.
