Hybrid Configurations for Satellite Constellations
1998Orbital configuration design for satellite constellations is currently based on strongly regular models, as they make easier the coverage analysis. This paper deals with the widening of these symmetry constraints, leading to the so-called hybrid configurations.

Small Satellites and Large Commercial Satellite Constellations
2017Evolution, current status, and key future trends involving small satellites and development of commercial small satellite constellations; Examination of the extent to which small satellites and especially commercial small satellite constellations represent a “disruptive technology” that will impact satellite manufacturers and service ...

Availability analysis of satellite constellation
2009 8th International Conference on Reliability, Maintainability and Safety, 2009This paper firstly analyzes the concept of availability of satellite constellation. Then the method of constellation availability analysis is proposed on the basis of Markov chain model, outage analysis, as well as MTBF and MTTR of satellite constellations. Finally, an illustrative example is presented to validate the method.

Satellite selection for multi-constellation
2008 IEEE/ION Position, Location and Navigation Symposium, 2008There will be 70~90 navigation satellites operating at the same time when Glonass and Galileo reach full operation capability. As a result, the number of visible satellites can reach 30. Thus the positioning accuracy will be improved greatly. However, so many satellite measurements may burden the receiverpsilas processing element when to use them to ...

Satellite Network Constellation Design
2014Satellite constellation design plays an important role in satellite network robust QoS routing technology. Although robust QoS routing technology should not depend on constellation design, constellation design can affect the system cost, the effective communications of the entire network, and the effective and convenient management of the satellite ...

MPLS-Based Satellite Constellation Networks
IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 2004Nongeostationary satellite constellations with intersatellite links are a challenge for networking due to their continuously changing topology. In order to make maximal use of the network's capacities, special attention has to be paid to routing and traffic engineering.

Optical Navigation Satellite Constellation Design
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Satellite constellation has incomparable superiority compared to the single satellite, and can provide effective global intermittent or continuous coverage. This paper designs a laser navigation satellite constellation by simulating the coverage properties of single satellite.

Les constellations de satellites
201822 ZREE N°1/2018 frequences localement.

LEO satellite constellation performance analysis
Proceedings of MILCOM '93 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2002To date, radio frequency crosslinks have been the preferred communication medium for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks. However, laser crosslinks in satellite constellations introduce many new and interesting research problems not addressed in these conventional methods.
