From Folding Mechanics to Robotic Function: A Unified Modeling Framework for Compliant Origami

Advanced Science, EarlyView.
A geometry‐consistent DDG framework captures compliant origami deformation from rigid‐like folding to soft panel bending. By tuning crease and panel stiffness, bistable snap‐through responses transform into smooth monostable deformation, enabling programmable stability and robot‐scale locomotion.

Green and scalable synthesis of CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots using bio‐sourced lecithin and hexane enables single‐batch production over 10 grams. Suppressed Auger recombination and electron‐phonon coupling yields 95% PLQY, enhanced stability, and low ASE thresholds of 230.4 (ns) and 50.1 (fs) µJ cm−2 in neat films. Stochastic Entanglement of Deterministic Origami Tentacles For Robust Robotic Grasping

This study introduces an origami tentacle gripper to robustly grasp objects‐in air, underwater, and even in orbital space‐by exploiting a synergy between local, deterministic deformation programming and global, stochastic entanglements. A single origami tentacle can be designed to coil with a simple tendon pull.
