Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Lightweight Design Strategy and Performance Optimization of Spaceborne Core Network

open access: yes天地一体化信息网络, 2023
With the growth of global communication demand, the spaceborne core network can not only reduce frequent signaling interactions between satellites and the ground, but also break through the constraints of geographical regions, providing strong support ...

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Improving the performance of HTTP over high bandwidth-delay product circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
As the WWW continues to grow, providing adequate bandwidth to countries remote from the geographic and topological center of the network, such as those in the Asia/Pacific, becomes more and more difficult.

Can network coding bridge the digital divide in the Pacific?

open access: yes, 2015
Conventional TCP performance is significantly impaired under long latency and/or constrained bandwidth. While small Pacific Island states on satellite links experience this in the extreme, small populations and remoteness often rule out submarine fibre ...
