Object Tracking in Satellite Videos Based on a Lightweight Network

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2021
Object tracking is a hot topic in computer vision. The significantly developed satellite video technology makes object tracking in satellite videos possible. In recent years, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-based trackers have achieved satisfying performance in the visual object tracking field.

International compressed video by satellite

10th International Conference on Digital Satellite Communications (ICDSC-10), 1995
NTL has been at the forefront of the development of MPEG digital video compression, launching its MPEG 1 System 2000 product in early 1993. This was the first commercial implementation of the MPEG standard for use in broadcast television applications and many organisations have since operated the system both for point to multipoint distribution to ...

Smart multiplexing for satellite video transmission

16th International Communications Satellite Systems Conference, 1996
With the emergence of standards for digital video compression and transmission, digital video traffic over satellite links is on the rise. Link efficiencies can be greatly increased if multiple digital video streams are time-multiplexed and transmitted using a single carrier.

Video-Based Satellite Attitude Determination

SPIE Proceedings, 1987
The mission lifetime of future spacecraft will be greatly extended by the routine performance of repair and resupply operations. There will be significant cost and safety advantages if these operations can be performed with minimum human involvement. A key step in any such operation will be rendezvous and docking.

Digital video broadcasting: Satellite specification

Philips Journal of Research, 1996
Digital video transmission over satellite channels is described. Many systems have so far been proposed for satellite transmission, and exist in some form. Recently, the European Telecommunications Standard (ETS 300 421) has now been accepted by the Digital Audio-Video Interface Council (DAVIC) as the world standard.

Digital video broadcasting by satellite

1999
This Chapter reviews low-bit-rate digital transmission of television signals on satellites and placed it in a context of existing and developing television standards and a changing regulatory environment. Some of the systems aspects have been discussed and particular details of practical satellite systems already available commercially have been given.

Video Signals Demodulator for Satellite Communication

2013
This paper proposes a VLSI architecture to design a QPSK demodulator of video signals for satellite communication using baseband processing. The demodulator mainly consists of a multiplier, a root-raised cosine (RRC) filter designed using distributed arithmetic (DA) technique, and an adder to add I-channel and Q-channel signals.

Perceptual Video Quality measurement method for satellite broadcasting

Proceedings of the 2014 6th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), 2014
Perceptual Video Quality (PVQ) is the main parameter in television (TV) broadcasting, since the best subjective video and audio quality for the viewers is the aim of any TV system. PVQ in TV satellite broadcasting is a major concern not only for satellite Direct to Home (DTH) TV providers, but it is also an important parameter for cable TV and DTT ...
