Femtosecond Pulsed Fiber Laser Based on Graphdiyne-Modified Tapered Fiber

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
We report the application of saturable absorbers prepared from graphdiyne-modified tapered fibers to an erbium-doped fiber laser to achieve a femtosecond pulse output. Graphdiyne quantum dots are successfully prepared by the Glaser–Hay method.

PbSe quantum dots grown in a high-index low-melting-temperature glass for infrared laser applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
PbSe quantum dots (QDs) were grown in high-refractive-index low-melting-temperature lead-phosphate glass. QDs with various sizes ranging from 2 nm to 5.3 nm were grown by controlling the growth parameters, heat-treatment temperature and time.

Ultrafast mode-locking in highly stacked Ti3C2Tx MXenes for 1.9-μm infrared femtosecond pulsed lasers

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2021
Metallic 2D materials can be promising saturable absorbers for ultrashort pulsed laser production in the long wavelength regime. However, preparing and manipulating their 2D structures without layer stacking have been nontrivial.

High output mode-locked laser empowered by defect regulation in 2D Bi2O2Se saturable absorber

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Bi2O2Se holds potential for the realization of 2D optical modulators due to its broadband nonlinear response, air stability and carrier mobility. Here, the authors report the realization of defect-engineered Bi2O2Se nanoplates as saturable absorbers for ...

Ultrafast L Band Soliton Pulse Generation in Erbium-Doped Fiber Laser Based on Graphene Oxide Saturable Absorber

open access: yesCrystals, 2023
We demonstrate a simple mode-locked Erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) based on self-synthesized saturable absorber (SA) by combining graphene oxide (GO) and polyethylene oxide (PEO) solutions to form a GO-PEO thin film. This thin film was incorporated into

High-Order Mode Mode-Locked Fiber Laser Based on Few-Mode Saturable Absorber

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2021
We presented two kinds of high-order mode (HOM) mode-locked fiber lasers based on few-mode (FM) saturable absorbers for direct HOM oscillation. One is a ring fiber laser based on a carbon nanotube (CNT) saturable absorber (SA), in which the combination ...
