Optimal Control Designs for Systems with Input Saturations and Rate Limiters
Most systems in practice have some input saturations due to physical restrictions. But taking input saturations into account directly is not easy in ordinary control design methods. In this report, we show that the method recently developed by one of the authors is useful to approximate the exact solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations for systems ...

We present a scalable EC/TC hybrid smart window using a DCPE that enables tunable solar modulation (ΔTsol:15–43%), fast electrochromic switching (<90 s), and strong thermal blocking (10–14°C reduction). HPMC improves thermal stability, while an optimized ISL enhances EC performance.

Tailoring Light Management in All‐Perovskite Tandem Solar Cells: The Impact of Nanotextures
To further improve the power conversion efficiency of all‐perovskite tandem solar cells, light management strategies need to be implemented. Front‐sided nanotextures reduce reflection losses, which boosts light absorption, thus increasing the tandem JSC, which is further supported by reducing parasitic absorption.

Disorder‐Broadened Topological Hall Phase and Anomalous Hall Scaling in FeGe
By systematically introducing defects into FeGe via ion‐beam modification, we demonstrate that disorder broadens the temperature regime over which the topological Hall effect ‐ a signature of skyrmions or other chiral textures — appears, while also increasing its magnitude.

Efficient experimental designs for sigmoidal growth models [PDF]
For the Weibull- and Richards-regression model robust designs are determined by maximizing a minimum of D- or D1-efficiencies, taken over a certain range of the non-linear parameters.
