A giant thunderstorm on Saturn
Nature, 2011Lightning discharges in Saturn's atmosphere emit radio waves with intensities about 10,000 times stronger than those of their terrestrial counterparts. These radio waves are the characteristic features of lightning from thunderstorms on Saturn, which last for days to months.

Beyond the mighty Jupiter lies the second biggest planet of the Solar System — Saturn. Also a gas-giant rld, Saturn has an equatorial diameter of 120 000 km and a mass 95 times that of the Earth. The average density of Saturn is a mere 700 kg/m3less dense than water.
