Modeling the EMIC Wave‐Induced Acceleration of Energetic Protons in the Io Footprint Tail
Abstract The Io footprint tail (FPT) region is crucial for studying the interactions between Io and Jupiter's magnetosphere. In this region, Juno spacecraft observed significant acceleration of energetic protons, concurrently with electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves below the proton gyro‐frequency.

All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

Saturn power generation with electrodynamic tethers in polar orbit
A power generation scheme based on bare electrodynamic tethers (EDT), working in passive mode is investigated for the purpose of supplying power to scientific missions at Saturn. The system employs a spinning EDT on a lowaltitude polar orbit which permits to efficiently convert plasmasphere energy into useful power.
