The Satyricon of Petronius has come down to us in fragmentary form and without the opening and closing sections. This contribution traces some possible Petronian reminiscences in Boethius’ work and speculates that a trace of the lost Satyricon’s explicit may be preserved in his First Commentary on Porphyry’s Isagoge.
