A multiscale CFD framework reveals that two‐phase effects fundamentally alter hazardous gas dispersion in urban street canyons. Droplet evaporation, vortex‐driven transport, and ventilation jointly control hazard evolution, with wind speed dominating dispersion while temperature plays a secondary role.

Effect of the addition of yacon flour (Smallanthus sonchifolius) and freezing on baking performance
Abstract BACKGROUND Yacon (Smallanthus sonchifolius), a tuber rich in fructans, presents potential for application in breadmaking due to its nutritional properties and cryoprotectant activity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the incorporation of yacon flour in bread formulations (50 g/kg and 100 g/kg on flour mixture basis) and its impact on ...

Material Characterization of Lignin‐Filled Polypropylene Composites
Ground and spray‐dried lignin powders are compared as fillers for polypropylene composites. Differences in powder preparation methods are associated with differences in powder characteristics and composite behavior after melt compounding. Spray‐dried lignin produces smaller particles and fewer large agglomerates, while a 5 wt% lignin loading provides a

Abstract Nanofluids containing nanoparticles represent a promising solvent or reaction system for gas–liquid operations. Herein, the effect of nanoparticle (Al2O3 and SiO2) addition on gas–liquid slug flow pattern and mass transfer enhancement was investigated during CO2 absorption into water in microreactors.

Aero‐breakup of droplets: Recent progress and outlook
This work systematically reviews the recent progress of droplet aero‐breakup studies. The discussion covers the research history, theoretical framework, new breakup mode discoveries, influence of droplet fluid properties, scenarios of multi‐droplet and droplet cloud, and finally, an outlook for future explorations is presented. Abstract Aero‐breakup of

The study compares two silica precursors, TEOS and OMCTS, for producing Yb2O3, Al2O3‐doped nanoparticle aggregates via atmospheric microwave plasma. TEOS‐based sol–gel precursors yield 20‐40 times higher dopant homogeneity in vitrified samples than OMCTS‐based emulsions. This difference is attributed to distinct evaporation behaviors and water content,

ABSTRACT Sweet potato by‐products are a potential source of proteins and phenolic compounds with valuable functional properties. However, enzymatic browning driven by polyphenol oxidase (PPO) limits their stability and utilization. In this study, processing conditions were designed to achieve controlled partial PPO inactivation using ascorbic acid (AA),
